No matter how many times I visit Aruba, seeing the amazing sunsets never gets old. Since I am a solo female traveler (on most trips), one of the most important aspects when choosing where to stay is safety, proximity to things I want to see and do, and is it walkable. Aruba has a wide variety of resorts to choose from whether you are a solo traveler like myself, planning your honeymoon, or a family vacation. In this guide, I will dive into some of the best hotels in Aruba, insider tips, and why I feel like they are the best. Let’s get into it!
Introduction: Best Hotels in Aruba
Just like with any trip you are planning, choosing an area and accommodations honestly can shape your entire trip. One of the most popular areas in Aruba is Palm Beach, which I find to be very lively, it’s walkable, and there are tons of shape and restaurants to choose from. Another popular area is Eagle Beach, which is wide, quiet, and the beaches tend to be a little less crowded compared to Palm Beach. Another popular area, which I love, is Oranjestad. This area is very cultural and is very colorful and convenient for shopping and dining. In this guide I’ll walk you through my favorite hotels—what I loved, what to know before you book, and the little details (palapas, club lounges, adult pools) that make a stay feel special.
1. Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort: Eagle Beach and Adults-Only
Stepping foot onto Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort feels like you are in a sanctuary. This hotel is great for honeymooners, couples celebrating anniversaries, and eve solo travelers. There is something about waking up early in the morning, grabbing a hot cup of coffee, taking off your sandals, and just walking onto the sand and listening to the beach before it’s flooded with people.
One aspect of this hotel, which I feel like I have never seen before is that they have a palapa reservation system, which eliminates the lounge chair wars and the need to get up at 5am just to throw your towel on a lounge chair to claim it.
The service in this hotel is incredible, and the grounds are impeccable. This hotel is very popular, so if it’s a hotel that you are interested in, make sure you book early.
Pro Tip: Request the Eagle Beach facing room on the highest floor to have the most incredible colorful sunset every night during your stay. The higher floor also makes the room much quieter in the evening.
2. The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba: Palm Beach
If you are looking for a 5-star resort, with 5-star service, a world class spa, and complete and utter relaxation, then The Ritz-Carlton is the best resort in Aruba for you. Just like any other Ritz, this hotel is made for those guests who are looking for the ultimate luxurious hotel with impeccable service.
I treated myself to the club access which gave me breakfast with a perfect ocean view, snacks whenever I needed them, and the best part, the staff knew and called me by name my entire stay. During the day, I napped and read in my cabana, worked on my tan, and enjoyed the turquoise waters when I needed to cool off.
Pro Tip: As soon as your accommodations are booked, book your cabana as well, because they go quickly!
3. Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa & Casino: Palm Beach
I think what I loved most about this resort, is that there always felt like there was something to do. This resort is great for solo travelers and families who like to have options and things to d while on the resort. When I needed a break from the kids, I made my way over to the adults-only pool and it gave me the relaxation and peace I needed while I sunbathed with my book poolside. This hotel has a great balance between relaxation and rejuvenation and activities to ensure you don’t get “bored”.
Pro Tip: Get the pool-side daybed cabana at the adults only pool. You won’t regret it!
4. Boardwalk Boutique Hotel: Palm Beach Adjacent
This hotel is a great option if you are looking for a charming and secluded hotel that gives you more of a boutique experience versus feeling like a crowded resort. It felt like I was in my own little secluded island, which was great, because on this trip, it was all about relaxing and disconnecting from everything.
These casita-style rooms include an outdoor shower, a kitchenette that allows you to cook some meals versus eating out for 3 meals per day, and a nice little patio, which I used every morning. I started my day with my coffee, and doing some reading on the patio before I started my day.
5. Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa: Eagle Beach
If you are looking for more of a Zen experience, then the Manchebo Beach Resort is the resort for you. This is a great resort if you are looking to do some morning yoga with the ocean breeze and is very much a serene resort.
Another great aspect of this resort, that I loved, was that the beach was enormous! You never feel like you are in a crowd of people and there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have their own space.
If you love a good spa day, then this resort will not disappoint! They have the most amazing relaxation room that you can enjoy after your massage just to relax and unwind.
Pro Tip: Make sure you ask for the beachfront deluxe room to have the most amazing views every day.
6. Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba: Oranjestad
If you are looking for a great mix between activities and relaxation, then the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba is for you! Besides the hotel having great energy and lots of places to unwind and de-stress, I think the absolute best part of this hotel is being able to take a boat to their private island that as flamingos. Everywhere! You can literally be laying on the beach surrounded by flamingos!
This hotel is super convenient as it’s in the city so you can relax with the flamingos on the beach by day and explore everything that the capital city has to offer at night. There are lots of great restaurants and shops, so plenty to do.
Pro Tip: Stay at the marina for a more adults-only vibe!
7. Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino: Palm Beach
The Aruba Marriott is located in Palm Beach, which is the heart of the city in my opinion. Everything is extremely walkable, easy to navigate, and like most of Aruba, the area is completely safe. This resort is great for solo travelers, couples, friends, and families.
I started my morning off with coffee on my balcony, spent the afternoons at the adults-only pool reading and tanning, and had multiple dinner options all within a short walk from the resort. This resort is lively, but at the same time, you also have lots of time and areas to relax and unwind.
Pro Tip: Save yourself the headache and reserve your palapa the day before.
8. Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort: Eagle Beach
This hotel is located on Eagle Beach and is great for those on a budget, but still looking for an amazing resort located on one of the best beaches in the world. This resort is an all-inclusive resort and is great for families, groups, solo travelers, or those looking for that all-inclusive expereince.
My room in particular at this hotel had a kitchenette, which was great if I left the resort, enjoyed some amazing local food, I was able to bring it back and have leftovers. This resort had some of the best sunsets and literally stops you in your tracks every night.
The beach is located right across a quiet road, and you don’t need to wake up at 5am just to reserve your lounge chair for the day. The palapas are there and you will be good to get a lounge chair when you are ready.
Pro Tip: If you want additional space and those incredible ocean views, book a superior studio.

9. Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All-Inclusive: Druif Beach
IF you are look for options, these sister resorts are the perfect resorts for you while you are in Aruba. I loved being able to hop from one resort to the other based on how I was feeling, what I wanted to do, and if I just wanted a change in scenery. Each resort has a different vibe, and they both have amazing beaches, and the shuttle between the two properties made it very easy to go from one to the other.
These resorts are great for families, first timers, or anyone looking for an all-inclusive experience. The resorts are fun, with lots of to do, and an amazing beach to do as much or as little as you want.
Pro Tip: The best room at the resorts is the oceanfront room.
10. The St. Regis Aruba Resort: Palm Beach South
If you are wanting a luxury and quieter experience while in Aruba, then the St. Regis Aruba, is probably the resort for you. This stylish resort is luxurious and is conveniently located in Palm Beach but on the south side.
The vibe in this hotel is intimate compared to some of the other properties located in Palm Beach. The pool is incredible, and the beach is even better.
Pro Tip: The best ocean views are on the higher floors.
