These are my top picks, I will reveal what makes them special and unique and share some insider tips to ensure you have an unforgettable stay.

Introduction: Hotels in Lima Peru

One thing to note about Lima is that it has lots of various neighborhoods, all with something to offer. The Miraflores area, which was one of my favorites is a little more upscale, you can find ocean view hotels rooms, and it’s very walkable to attractions, restaurants, and shopping.

The Barranco distrct, which is the artsy and bohemian part of Lima is also super fun, lively, and relaxed. It’s great for those wanting to immerse themselves in the culture, and if you are looking for nighlife.

San Isidro is the financial district, and is quieter compared to the other two districts. There are several upscale hotels, you are close to parks, museums, and is perfect if you are looking for luxury and a quieter hotel.

1. A Belmond Hotel: Miraflores Park

The A Belmond Hotel, is located right in the middle of one of my favorite’s areas in Lima, Miraflores. This five-star hotel is not only incredibly luxurious, but you have stunning views of the ocean from this hotel. There is also a rooftop hotel that you can enjoy with panoramic views of the ocean. this hotel is perfect for those travelers looking for a luxurious and relaxing hotel.

Now, the rooms. These rooms are uniquely designed with elegant features, of course, modern amenities, and sprinkled through, you’ll notice some Peruvian touches. The staff in this hotel provide impeccable service, thy are extremely attentive, and because this hotel is in the middle of Miraflores, you can literally walk to the costal cliffs, Larcomar, and cat park (Kennedy Park).

If you are a solo traveler like me, you will particularly love this hotel because I feel like the staff is extra welcoming, the hotel and surrounding areas are extremely safe, and you have easy access to attractions, cafe for your morning coffee, and restaurants.

Insider Tips: Head to the rooftop for an amazing sunset view and try their Peruvian dishes at breakfast, along with their freshly made juices and pastries. You won’t regret either!

2. Country Club Lima Hotel: San Isidro District

The Country Club, Lima Hotel is located in the heart of Lima’s financial district, San Isidro. This hotel is full of historical charm and offers timeless elegance that I greatly appreciate. Since this was previously a gold country club you will find lush green gardens throughout the property, and a gold course onsite, which makes you feel like you aren’t in a bustling metropolis.

The rooms in this hotel are incredible spacious, decorated very well with classic furnishings and modern amenities, offering both comfort and a sophisticated stay. The onsite restaurant serves incredible Peruvian cuisine, the staff are extremely attentive and will offer you lots of recommendations for exploring the city depending on what you want to see and do.

As a solo female traveler, for me, the location of this hotel was ideal. It was a quick walk to El Olivar Park, the Museo de Arte Lima, and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shopping.

Insider Tip: After dinner, walk through the gardens on the hotel property. It’s a quiet and serene way to end your night after a busy day exploring Lima.

3. Atemporal: Barranco District

The Atemporal is located in the heart of Lima’s artsy bohemian district of Barranco. This super cute boutique style hotel really blends in with the colonial architecture but with a contemporary design. They decorated is room differently, which I feel like reflects on the artistic spirit of this entire neighborhood. They offer personalized experiences, whish for me, as a solo traveler, really made me feel at ease.

This area is perfect if you are wanting to explore more of Lima’s art and creative side, as they have so many vibrant murals throughout the area, all with a story to tell. There are tons of art galleries, fun cafes where you can enjoy a cup of coffee outside, and nightlife options for those looking for things to do in the evening.

Insider Tip: Get lost in the city in this district and explore on foot. You never know when you will find a fun gallery or cute shop to hop into.

Located in Lima’s financial district of San Isidro, you’ll find the modern hotel of the Hyatt Centric. This contemporary and comfortable hotel offers a modern decor, great city views, and amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi and spacious work areas for those who may be on a work trip. This hotel also offers a gorgeous rooftop, which is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring, and takin the amazing views of Lima.

This is a great area to stay in if you are on a business or trip or if you are a traveler that likes quieter evenings with less horn honking (if you haven’t been to Lima, you’ll soon find out they honk their horns for everything). This area has several nearby attractions like the El Olivar Park and the Museo de Arte de Lima, which you can very easily walk to.

5. JW Marriott Hotel: Miraflores

The JW Marriott Hotel has to be one of the prettiest hotels in all of Lima. This hotel is situated on the cliffs of Miraflores and offers the most incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. Staying here means you have direct access to the Larcomar shopping mall, which is the three-level mall built on the side of the enormous cliffs overlooking the ocean. The rooms here are spacious, modern, and this is also a very safe area to stay in allowing you easy exploration of everything that Miraflores has to offer.

If you walk along the Malecon, which is the promenade near the hotel, you will have stunning views of the ocean and you can take in that salty ocean breeze, which I love. This is the perfect way to start your day with a cup of coffee and just walking around and taking in all of the views.

Conclusion: Hotels in Lima Peru

When choosing the best hotel in Lima Peru, you need to make sure that you are looking for the things that are important to you. Do you want to be near the artsy and bohemian nightlife? If so, then the Barranco district may be the place for you. Maybe you are looking for upscale and quiet evenings. If so, head to the financial district. If you want to be close to the attractions, in a safe neighborhood, and something walkable, then my recommendation is to stay in Miraflores.

Since I am for the most part, a solo female traveler, I always prioritize safety, walkability, and proximity to things I want to see and do. These three districts have the best hotels in Lima Peru to stay in, in my opinion. The offer comfortable, safety, modern amenities, and close proximity to some of the city’s main attractions.

When it comes to choosing the right hotel and right neighborhood, make sure you pick an area that resonates with your travel stay and is close to things you want to see and do. Regardless of your travel style, Lima is sure to offer you a neighborhood and hotel that fits all of your needs.
